Gopher Diet
Much like Moles, gophers can cause a tremendous amount of damage to your lawn or garden. However, unlike moles gophers tend to live on a diet of green, leafy vegetation and plants.
This means that if you have a flourishing garden abundant in vegetation you could well attract a gopher that will quite happily move in under your house or outbuildings.
Underground they feast on the moist roots from the surface plants. They prefer grass, but their diet will change seasonally depending on their needs and availability of water.
Controlling Gophers
The most effective method of ridding your home and garden of these pests is to call in a Pest Control Specialist to deal with the problem.
However, this can be an expensive method of extraction so it is well worth investing a smaller amount of money in the over-the-counter control substances that are known
to be almost as effective and nowhere near the same price.
For example, you can buy a Gopher Powder from most good hardware stores that will rid you of the problem with a fairly simple method. Being in a powder form, this product is a granular substance that takes advantage of the strongest deterrent in the animal kingdom, that is fear.
The powder contains the scent of the gophers predator, which means when the gopher can smell its adversary it will not stay around. The scent found in the powder is that of the fox and is an almost guaranteed method of extraction of these small creatures.
Benefits of Gopher Repellent
Unfortunately, other Gopher Control methods are very time consuming and not as easy to implement, messy to apply and can be harmful to people and the plants in your garden, as well as any pets that may come into contact with it.
Look at the benefits of using this marking method of extraction:
- Uses the strongest force in nature (instinctive FEAR) to your advantage
- Easy to apply powder – Applies in just minutes.
- Makes NO mess of you or your landscape.
- 100% Organic - Safe to use around children pets and plants.
- Does NOT harm the animals you are repelling.
